GAME ONE
.
31................................................................................................... 32
..
.
(Left) Ken said Khemraj needed a drink to relieve the pressure from taking so much licks. (Right) Karl,
the scorer, looking for liquid refreshments. He looks totally dehydrated.
They have the poor boy working so hard with no pay...not even a doubles.
.
.Princes Town Boys got off to an early lead and remained ahead at the half 19 - 12.
Captain Khemraj Ramnarine rallied his troops to outscore Princes Town Boys 20 - 12
in the second half to win by the slimmest of margins. Folks, another nail biter.
.
GAME TWO
.
37.. ............................     .......                    ....................................21
.
What an amazing display of talent! One Family destroyed Saints to finish second in the
league standings. Table one for One Family (Shammi & Sadiiqa) had the best single day
percentage  12 - 3 or 80% followed by table three (Erwin & Big Ray) for One Family 10 - 3 or 78%.
.
..
.
(Left) The Professor sharing licks like long time. He said, 'Omar & Ian are always hiding from me.
They are afraid to play me'. (Right) Mike Moreau even when
he is losing still has a smile for us. Good sportsmanship.

Sunday saw the return of the great one, Erwin 'The Professor' Carrington. " I am back because
Omar and Ian are getting too close to my records. It's time for me to come back and defend
my honour. These guys have improved tremendously and are creeping closer and closer every year.
I can no longer take anything for granted. Just to let you know how serious I am, I have made
a bigger 'Professor' bag for collecting more trophies. Tell Ian & Omar the drought
is on for them. Just tell them The Professor is back for good!!"
.
GAME THREE
.

.
15..................................................................................................37
.
As was expected WISA had an easy time defeating Jump & Wave who were one table short.
The outcome didn't change anything in the league standing with the number one team and
the number six team. These two teams battle each other in their first match this Sunday.
Jump & Wave is hoping to do well again as they did last year.
.
....
.
(Left) Indraj smiling away. Reason for being so happy - he's winning with a new partner. (Right) Sais
helping wherever he can. Hafeez secretly said that Kathleen is a far better card player than Sais.
.
TALK ABOUT PRESSURE!!   O'LAWD OYE!!

GAME 1
.

29................ ...................30
Truly one of the best games ever played in the league. The excitement started at the get go.
Saints took the first three games and had an early lead.
.
All of a sudden, there were loud explosions coming from WISA as they woke up from
an early slumber. The noise was deafening and the excitement was unbelievable.
Jacks were being hung left, right and centre. Saints had woken up a sleeping giant.
.
WISA caught up to Saints and passed them to maintain what we thought was a comfortable
lead at the half. The score was 19-14 in favour of WISA..
.
..
Left, Omar and Ian sharing licks. Right, Russell making a point. Poor Darren lost in all of this.
.
For most of the second half WISA carried a lead of three to four bullseyes. They were sailing
along smoothly when out of nowhere a big wave came and almost sank their boat.
.
Folks, in all of this turmoil, Saints had caught up to WISA and were ahead by two games (28-26)
with under 30 minutes to go in the match.
.
The look on WISA players faces was so depressed, desperate and totally shocked.
Everyone in the building was focused on this match.
.
What seemed more like a miracle happened. The shouting from WISA started up again. You
could feel the momentum turning around in WISA's favour.
.
In all this commotion, WISA found new life as they rose from the jaw of defeat to edge
Saints by one game. Terry and Glenn sang the last bullseyes making the final score
WISA 30 - Saints 29. Terry said that everyone on WISA
owes him a drink or two for being so spectacular.

You could not have written a better script than this. Congrats to both teams for putting up
a marvellous display of talent and for providing us with great entertainment.
.
.
Cowboy Glenn (with red scarf) brought home
the deciding bullseye that won WISA the match.
.
GAME 2
.
37............................................26
One Family came out to play. Chutney Soca was unable to give them a good fight. At the half
One Family led Chutney Soca by 5 games (19-14). Things got progressively worse for Chutney
Soca in the second half. The lead was no longer five but eleven games. One Family was hoping
for a Saints win which could have given them a chance to win the championship
because of their strong plus/minus ratio.
.
..
Left, Joe telling the camera man how much 'licks' he's getting. Right, we welcome back a familar
face to the game of all fours. It was great seeing Jessie again who looks to be enjoying himself.
.
GAME 3
.
24..................................... .....................................28
.
This  was a fete match and the first ever all fours "Curry Bowl".
A sample of what they will be serving is shown below. Seeing that Jump & Wave lost the match,
everything will take place somewhere out in the country (close to Selkirk).

.
This is what a plate of food would look like.
Curry goat & home fowl with dhal, rice and chalta achar.
.
By invitation only. Princes Town Boys will supply all the drinks if Jump & Wave
beats WISA in their final match next Sunday.
.
..
Left, the two captains, Peter & Wayne, battling it out. Right, Harry playing with his son.
Sunil said his son is much better than his dad at cards.

GAME 1
.
.
33..................................................25
One Family led by 5 games at the half and never looked back. In spite of a dazzling performance
of 5-1 by K. Castello & H. Abdool for Jump & Wave, the team was unable to make up any ground.
The other three tables dominated for One Family. One Family is back in the race
and is currently in second place. They are hoping and praying for a WISA loss.
.
GAME 2
.
.
.
32..................................................26
The game of the week. Another outstanding day for Ramesh Maharaj & Balram Mahase 11-3.
Chutney Soca had a 3 game lead at the half and maintain a steady lead right throughout the 2nd half.
Captain Omar Maharaj for Saints took the loss personally, 'We couldn't handle Vijay & Shiraz the way we
handled other pairs. We only manage to beat them by one game'.
.
.
Russell can't believe Darren and Saints lost their match to Chutney Soca.
Must have been Ron Ramberran (Saints) selling out to his dad's team (Chutney Soca).
.
Saints face an uphill battle from here on. They have to beat WISA and One Family,
their next two opponents, in order to win the league championship.
.
GAME 3
.
.
34........................... .......................20
.
Miracles did not happen. Goliath slayed David. And no.... Princes Town Boys once again did
not field a full team. And yes..... it was lights out for them. WISA takes a commanding 3-0 lead
in the standings ... good enough for first place..However, they face Saints this coming week.
Should they win, the championship is theirs. A loss to Saints would certainly make it interesting.
It could come down to the plus/minus ratio in the final weekend.
.
.
WISA boys telling Saints guys to bring it on next Sunday.
'We are ready and confident', says Terry B.

GAME 1.
.
31...................................... .........27
Jump & Wave outplayed Chutney Soca in the first and led 19-16 on a strong performance
by Kathleen Castello and partner Hafeez Abdool (6-1).
.
There was a dispute at the start of the second half. This matter will be reviewed by the executive
committee this week. In the process table one for Jump & Wave was awarded 4 uncontested bullseyes.
.
This decision did not hamper Chutney Soca in the 2nd half as table 2 won 6-0, table 3 won 4-1
and table 4 won 5-2. In the end it was a total collapse in the 2nd half by Jump & Wave that did them in.
.
Table 3 had a marvellous time. We didn't know our President has such a great sense of humour.
We sometimes need more laughter on some of our tables.
.
.
Rushing to straighten out the scoresheets
..
GAME 2
.
32.................................... 30
This game lived up to its billing. It was a thriller from start to end with non-stop action all the way. The
excitement and tension were so intense that players from the other matches were distracted from time to time.
It was like a battleground out there, especially table 2 with their noise and actions when hanging a jack.
One Family fought very hard to lead WISA by one game at the half (19-18).
.
In the second half, the pace remained the same. Table 3 for WISA put in an outstanding performance (4-1)
to help guide the team to victory and to remain unbeaten along with Saints.
A job well done and a contest well fought! This is what we call all fours at its best.
.
GAME 3
.
19............................................ .37
From the very second we knew newcomer, Princes Town Boys, was a table short it was easy to predict
the outcome of this match. As is the rule, Saints were awarded 9 uncontested bullseyes
at the start of the game on table 2.
.
Saints tables 3 & 4 put in superb performances, 11-4 and 12-6 respectively. The pair of Omar Maharaj
and Ian Harrysingh dominated their table to lead the league in the Most Bullseyes
and MVP categories. A job well done, guys!

GAME 1
10...................................... ...................................37
This match was a no contest from the start. ICCA team was four members short. Maximum
bullseyes (9 each) were given to tables 3 and 4 of One Family. These bullseyes do not count
for individual stats.... just for team bullseyes overall. Needless to say, the MAA and its
members are very disappointed.
.
...
.
Our favourite liming spot at half time - Ken's Hideout (the bar)
.
GAME 2
37..........................................................21
Saints got off to a great start and never looked back. At the half Jump & Wave trailed Saints
by only 5 bullseyes. However in the second half Jump & Wave just couldn't narrow the gap and
ended up losing by 16 bullseyes. All four tables for Saints were victorious.
What an outstanding performance, guys!
.
..
.
Cards in full swing. Members are so glad for the all fours season. No more cabin fever.
Helps to make the winter go faster.
.
GAME 3
28........................................................27
This was the thriller of the day. WISA team was down by 6 games at the half. The pair of Russell
Chan & Wayne Dinzey defeated their opponents by 5 games to help WISA come from behind
and nip Chutney Soca at the end. During the last 30 minutes the lead kept changing
and the excitement was intense. It was a tough game to lose for Chutney Soca. Ouch!
